2 Years - Week 18 - Day Off

{ Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm a vacation hoarder. }

I rarely take vacation days, so when I do I really like to take advantage of them!

On May 23, I took a day off because Hudson's daycare was closed,
and Lisa and Dave were in town.

As soon as Hudson and I woke up, we went to the lake for a long walk
to some of my favorite spots...

Arlo came over around 10 a.m. for trains, puzzles, and selfies!

Lisa and Dave joined us, and they brought me a smoothie - yum!

We played at the park...

...and we were lucky enough to see some diggers in action!

After nap, the boys took a quick bath and dressed in matching pajamas!

We had dinner at Cookie and Papi's, and the boys built towers!

What a great day!

Maybe I should take vacation days more often: )

2 Years - Week 17 - Deanna Rose

Lisa and Dave arrived on Friday evening, so we decided to head to Deanna Rose Farmstead on Saturday for a morning of fun before the week/weekend of moving began!

Hudson and Arlo loved riding the tractors...

...and they loved giving the baby goats their milk and watching them sleep!

More goats!!!

Silly goats!

Helpful Cookie!

I wish I had taken pictures of everyone
(Mom, Dave, Lisa, Aaron, Claire, Arlo, Nick, Hudson, and I were all there!),
but I guess I was a little bit focused on our cute little babies toddlers: )

I hope we can go back again soon!

2 Years - Week 16 - Mother's Day

Mother's Day was relatively uneventful this year -
and it was just about perfect: )

Hudson and I went out for a stroll...

...and saw lots and lots of snails!
{"Silly, Mama! Snail in road!"}

We ate lunch at Johnny's West with Nick's family,
and I had a HUGE burger with a fried egg on it. DELISH!
These cutie cousins made me smile the whole time...

I rested all afternoon and didn't really lift a finger. Nick bought me a beautiful hanging basket of flowers, and he is fulfilling my other request (to have my car professionally vacuumed/washed!) in a couple of weeks (after I take Callie to the vet)! Yippee!

We had dinner with my family at Johnny Brusco's - PIZZA! We were in the party room by ourselves, so we shut the doors and the babies were able to run around together. They had a blast with their cars and with the arcade games: )

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!

The boys (Nick/Hudson/Grandpa/Arlo/Aaron) went home, and Mom, Claire, and I went to Orange Leaf for frozen custard (1/2 price for moms!!!). We took our dessert to Dillon's and wrapped up the final details for Lisa's baby shower.

These cuties sent me a goodnight photo...

Such a great and relaxing day that was filled with two of my favorite things -
food and family: )
