Hudson Bobarino,

You truly amazed me this month! You learned so much, and you were so interested in everything around you. In a matter of weeks, you learned how to roll from your back to your front and how to sit on your own. Everything happened so fast, and it felt like we literally watched you learn!

As you can see in the pictures from this month, you also spent a lot of time playing and a lot of time putting things in your mouth! You drooled like crazy off and on all month, but you still don't have any teeth to show for it: ( When your teeth really bothered you, your face turned red, too - just like it is in your seven-month photo! You liked to examine whatever was in front of you, and then you jammed it quickly in your mouth. Once you were able to roll and sit, you enjoyed playing with your toys even more! You really liked to play with your feet, and Daddy and I even caught you sucking on your toes a couple of times!

You also took a special trip this month - to North Carolina! I hope you get to go many more times, and I hope that you will come to love North Carolina as much as I do!

This month you also ate more and more "real" food. There were times where you preferred to blow on the spoon rather than eat, but you slowly started to eat a little more at each feeding. You were very good at rubbing food all over your face, in your eyebrows, and even on top of your head. You didn't really like to have your face washed after eating, but you did let me wipe your face if I let you play with and suck on the washcloth. Singing helped, too; )

You REALLY loved books this month! You enjoyed short books, like Llama Llama, Nighty Night and Baby Animals, and you liked when I read them over and over. By the third time, you waved your arms and tried to turn - or eat! - the pages. Sometimes you even squealed!

Sleep still wasn't on your to-do list. You spent a lot of time sleeping on my chest and sleeping in our bed. I think the exhaustion overtook my willpower to keep you from our bed, and it was easier for all of us - for a time - to keep you in bed with us. I loved having your almost-twenty-pound body on my chest for hours at a time (and I'm NOT being sarcastic!), and it is a time that I will always cherish. I'm pretty sure that you will be much too heavy and much too wiggly to sleep on my chest much longer!

I felt like you really began to interact with people this month! You started to reach for me and for Daddy, and you started to notice Arlo and your other family members. SO cool! I loved spending time with you, watching you learn, and loving you. I am so proud of you already.

I love you.

Mamarino
