London!

I LOOOVE this pic! My friends, Sarah and Lugge, were in London for a few days, and they visited Lisa and Dave while they were there! SOOOOOOOOOO jealous that they hung out! I haven't seen Sarah and Lugge since August, and I haven't seen Lisa since June! I wish I had been there too - I miss them all!

How cute are these pumpkin pics!?!

And, I love, loVE, LOVE these sunflower pics! Look at the cake!! What if mine was just like that...but with dark red ribbon (and 3 tiers instead of 4)?

More Wal-Mart...

I wrote down this site on Thursday when I was at Wal-Mart: http://www.gsquaredtemplates.com/index.cfm

There are some inexpensive ($18.94 for 50!) favor boxes that could be used for the little dog treats, dog biscuits, whatever dog-related item we select...

New Camera!!

While garage door fixer guy fixed the garage door, I learned how to use my new camera!

Nick was preparing for work, but he posed for my first shots:

Okay...it is time to chip away at the to-do list!! If all goes well, I am going to reward myself by taking pictures of Callie: )

I already took this video of her exploding out of her kennel:

MAAAAAAAAAAARTH!!

SOOOO happy for tomorrow!! We do not have school, and I am going to knock some wedding-related items off our to-do list! Unfortunately, Nancy the Nissan's brake light and battery light came on, so she has to be fixed tomorrow...AND the garage door fixer guy is coming at 8am to fix the garage door. I am not "stoked" to pay the bills, but I know these things happen: (
I went to Wal-Mart tonight, and I picked up my new camera (the battery is charging now!!). While I was there, I headed down the wedding aisle, and I cam across some of the CUTEST wedding items I have EVER seen. Martha Stewart has a line at Wal-Mart called Martha Stewart Celebrate. I love, loVE, LOVE, the eyelet collection. I made this mini-collage of some of the eyelet pieces. SOOO cute!

I also looked at the newest Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. I ALMOST bought it, but I decided to try a new kind of coffee instead...
Since I did not buy the magazine, I made mental note to look for the picture online. I found them and made this little collage...
The article had some suggestions for where to find buy the little circle stickers (http://edps.com/), the photo confetti (http://photofetti.com/products.aspx), and the photo stickers (http://www.moo.com/). I may have to check them out!

Wedding-Related Tasks for Tomorrow:
- Kinko's and Copy Co. (ask about save-the-date postcards and invitations)
- clean ring at Kizer Cummings: ) (ask about wedding bands)
- HyVee floral department (reserve wedding day)
- format guest list
- I think I'm forgetting something...

Missing my friends: (

Luckily, I am able to see some of my college friends in a few weeks. I came across this picture tonight, I was reminded how lucky I am to have such amazing friends.
We were at KTG's apartment, and she hit her head and was crying. To make her feel better, we all went in the bathroom together. This picture makes me smile every time I see it (except for Katie's tears!)!

Can't wait to see some of you guys in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!

LOVE.

favor idea??

Check out this article.

American Meadows has seed packets inexpensively, and I can easily customize them by printing my own labels. I would like to buy the Forget-Me-Not Mini-Packets (.50 each for 50!).

Fred Flare Christmas

Claire sent me an email today about something that I may want for my Christmas list...

She knows how much I love wearing retainers even though I'm 25 years old. HAHAHAHA. How funny is that $300 necklace!?!

Mom told me that this is on Claire's list:
I love Fred Flare - and Claire: )

socks with shoes?

Wearing socks with shoes is a new trend at the high school (that - and bringing a blanket instead of a sweatshirt...weird, I know!), but this pairing makes sense to me! I should probably do this for sure to make sure my shoes fit just right. I may wear them for DAYS around my house - and I will probably buy flipflops because I am such a wimp when it comes to blisters!!

wine-box ceremony?

A few months ago, Claire (maidzilla - ha!) mentioned that some of Adam's friends had a wine-box ceremony at their wedding. I was intrigued because I think I may want to do something different than a unity candle, and we do have a wine theme goin' on. I also like the idea of writing each other letters because we have written many, many letters over the years.

Check out this blog that outlines the process -

http://abcddesign.blogspot.com/2008/09/different-wedding-ceremony-ritual.html

Here are some other ceremonies that some people do. I do not think we can have wine at the ceremony though, so keeping the bottle closed may be our best bet...

a few things...

Well...I bought a camera: ) I found the Canon Powershot SD1100-IS Silver ~ 8 MP Digital ELPH Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom at Wal-Mart for $169. I am hoping to fall in love with it just in time to take it as my date to Becky's wedding: )

Seriously!?! How cute is this...

I like the hair on the bottom left...

photographers??

We may have found our photographers (cross your fingers!!!). At the bridal show, I ran into Zach and Sarah from Zach Henderson Photography. I had looked at their website and blog, and I was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon their booth at the end our day! Their booth was SUPER creative! They had printed pictures they had taken spread out all over the table, and they had a video slideshow of pictures that they had taken on Saturday! I spoke with Zach for several minutes, and Mom talked to Sarah. They are getting married in May - so they definitely understand all the wedding talk!

I have been emailing with them since that night, and we are meeting next Sunday! We're super excited!!

Here are a few of my favorites:

April and Javier's Wedding

A few weeks ago, I went to April and Javier's wedding. It was AMAZING!

Ever since April was little, she wanted a castle for her wedding cake - she even had a magzine cut-out that she had saved for years! Her aunt made her this spectacular cake:

Aren't they beautiful!?!

Congratulations!!!

Busy weekend!

Here are some pics from the weekend! Details to follow...

Friday
Sixth hour was cancelled for the homecoming parade, so I went home at 2pm to pick up Callie. We had a blast walking with the other dogs, and she was well-behaved!
After the parade, I went to the gym and showered, and then I went to dinner at Carlos and went to the LFS homecoming game with Nick. When we arrived home...
Callie's face was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO swollen! We were terrified and felt SO stupid having to page the vet on a Friday night. We think a snake bit her! She was sick ALL weekend!

Saturday
Nick and I woke early on Saturday and went to KC with Mom for the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. We overheard someone say that this year there were twice as many people as last year! I hope that we can continue to walk each year. It felt good to be surrounded by people who understand what it is like to love someone with Alzheimer's.

Nick and I watched KU come back against Iowa State, and then we were supposed to go with Judy and Butch to a surprise party. We ended up not going because Callie was SO SO SO sick: ( We rented 88 Minutes. I liked it!

Sunday
On Sunday, Mom and I went to the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show. I called SJ last minute to see if she wanted to go, and she did! It was SO fun to wander around with them! I was a little (okay, a lot!) overwhelmed by all of the booths, but I am glad that we went. I picked up a lot of info, and I enjoyed seeing what is available these days. And...we booked a DJ - Brett from Complete Music - he is AWESOME!!

Oh yeah. Mom ran into Barack on our way out: ) HEHE.

Overall, it was a good weekend. I did have TONS of school stuff to do on Sunday night, but I made it through the week...

Callie's new collar!

Nick and I bought Callie a new collar. She looks so cute! She was full of energy, and she wouldn't sit still! I had to convince her to "stay" with some peanut butter. This is her awkward, waiting-patiently face:Then, she had to finish her peanut butter...
play with her old collar...
and lick my "bling"...
