2 Years - Week 1 - "More Sunshine"

I never could have imagined how much I would love to hear Hudson sing. It started a few months ago when he'd sing random letters during the ABCs. It has slowly morphed into him being able to sing a few words from different songs.

My heart melts and my eyes fill with tears every night before bed as we sing "Night Night Baby" (a song I made up when he was very small)...

Warning: The video is really just the sound
(and there is a REALLY GOOD reason that I am not a professional singer!!!).

Ridiculous, right!?! Love him!

I didn't think it could get much better than that, but then we caught him rocking Elmo and Jay, his sock monkey, on his mini rocker and singing "Night night...Night night..."

In just the last week or two, I started singing "You Are My Sunshine" to him before bed as well. After I sang it for the first time, he said, "More sunshine!" He repeats his request over and over and over...and I sing it again and again and again.

I'm hoping to get a better video of this one soon.
He was a little camera shy; )

This week we even sang it over Skype with Papi and with Daddy!

I hope the singing continues for many, many, many more years.

In fact, I hope it never stops.

PS: I know that I'm not quite done with Hudson's last monthly post, but I wanted to get started on a new series of posts so that I don't fall behind before I even get started. We are entering a new stage with this sweet little boy, and I can tell that it will be full of moments that I will never want to forget (...and maybe a few that I will want to forget!).

Instead of a long monthly post of pictures - that takes me WAY TOO LONG to put together - I am going to try to document a little snippet each week. My monthly posts were mainly a way for me to feel like my pictures were safe somewhere on the interwebs in case my phone, computer, and external drive all suddenly exploded, but I'm feeling a little more confident (fingers crossed!) and don't feel like I need to post hundreds of pictures every month; ) I hope to post some little stories so that I can try to hold them tight as the time flies by...
